Recaro Aircraft Seating earns customer orientation award

Recaro Aircraft Seating has received a “Customer Orientation” award at the Manufacturing Excellence (MX) Awards.

The ceremony took place in Stuttgart, Germany, on 8th February where members of the Recaro leadership team accepted the award.

“We were honoured to accept this ‘Customer Orientation’ MX award on behalf of our hardworking production team, as we pride ourselves on having a high-performing manual manufacturing team,” said Mark Hiller, CEO of Recaro Aircraft Seating and Recaro Holding. “We are committed to long-term customer loyalty and this award will push us to set new manufacturing benchmarks in our industry.”

MX selects winners based on a rigorous onsite business review, analysed in detail by independent assessors and proven experts. The award is presented annually by an independent jury of former MX winners, under the scientific direction of the Technical University of Berlin, and honours innovative solutions in the field of production and logistics.

“This award was a team effort and I am grateful that we have been recognized for our investment in lean principles and sustainability initiatives, as well as our production team members,” said Mirjam Bruhns, general manager at Recaro Aircraft Seating headquarters in Schwaebisch Hall, Germany. “We have facilitated a strong customer-centric value chain at Recaro and we will continue driving comfort in the sky to solidify our position as the partner of choice for our customers.”

Originally founded in Great Britain more than 30 years ago, the Berlin-based MX distributes awards in nine different manufacturing-related categories, including information technology, innovation, leadership culture and quality.
