After successful proof of concept trials in 2019, Safran Composites based in Itteville, France and Surface Generation have extended their working relationship to further develop processing expertise with highly optimised, net shape thermoplastic components, via injection and compression moulding.

This latest programme of work will increase geometrical complexity and scale which will broaden exploitation opportunities across multiple aerospace applications.

Surface Generation is a world leader in the design and manufacture of fibre reinforced composite out-of-autoclave processing solutions. The company was established in 2002 to develop and commercialise its Production to Functional Specification (PtFS) process.
