New cooperation between airplus Maintenance and QCM Design

airplus Maintenance has announced a cooperation has been agreed with QCM Design during the Aero Expo 2019 in Friedrichshafen.

The cooperation will allow both companies to further expand the engineering capabilities and to offer competitive design solutions to maintenance organisations to aircraft owners and operators as well as aircraft manufacturers. airplus holds a Part 145, Part 21J, Part 21G, ADOA and CAMO approval.

Both companies have developed several STC’s on different small and large aircraft and rotorcraft. Capabilities range from interior refurbishment over avionics upgrades to structural projects.

Florian Kindzorra the COO of airplus stated: “QCM is well known in our industry for very reliable and high-quality services. Besides helping airplus and QCM by using the brought knowledge base, list of existing approvals and number of experts in our teams, our customers will benefit from game changing STC solutions and optimised turnaround times. We are very much looking forward working with Christian and his team.”

Christian Schusser, Chief of Office Airworthiness with QCM. Design is proud to become a partner company of airplus and is looking forward that his engineering team which is based in the QCM head-quarters in Berne, Switzerland and in Vienna, Austria can support the airplus team for large projects and vice versa. Additionally, airplus will benefit from the QCM in-house burning laboratory for flammability testing solutions.
