The transaction is an important boost to strengthen Sofitec’s growth, which expects to exceed €70m in sales in 2024 and double its workforce to reach 600 aerospace professionals.
Specialising in corporate debt, Muzinich & Co offers, through its pan-European and Iberian private debt funds, customised financing solutions for companies with revenues between €20m and €500m, aimed at growth initiatives, acquisitions, expansions and transitions.
In Spain, Muzinich has currently granted this type of financing to eight other companies, and Sofitec is now the first of the aerospace sector in Spain which Muzinich backs financially, having already supported another company in the sector in the UK. To date, Muzinich has financed 50 medium-sized companies in Europe through its private debt funds.
Sofitec will allocate these funds to the expansion of its facilities in Carmona and to the implementation of new technologies, which will allow it to double its current productive capacity and expand its portfolio of services. Furthermore, this operation will make it easier to face the expected growth during the coming years and in turn, optimise the company’s liabilities, strengthening the long-term financial solvency of the company.
Thanks to this operation, Sofitec, specialised in the manufacturing and assembly of aerostructures, reaffirms its strategic position as a supplier of aerospace components on a global scale, and allows it to continue taking on highly-complex projects with high production cadences for the major aircraft manufacturers.
